Questions
What people ask before they start.
How much does a website cost in South Africa?
It depends on how many pages it needs, whether it sells online, and how much of the writing and photography is ready. Ours start from R — for a starter site, and you get a quote in writing before any work starts.
What changes the price?
Mostly the number of different pages, whether the site takes payments or bookings, any other systems it has to connect to, and whether you need help with the words, the photos or a logo.
How does payment work?
Half to start, and half when it's finished, before it goes live on your domain. Invoices are due within seven days. We're not a VAT vendor, so there's no VAT on top.
What else will I pay for?
Your domain name, hosting and business email are yours to pay for, along with any stock photos or paid fonts. We'll tell you what each costs before you commit to any of them.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the site, and on how quickly the content and your feedback come in. You get a timeline in writing before we start, counted from when the deposit and your content arrive.
How many changes can I ask for?
Two rounds on the design and one after the build are included. A round is one set of feedback, with everyone's comments in it. Beyond that, changes are charged by the hour, and we quote before starting them.
Do I own my website?
Yes, once it's paid in full: the design, the content and the page layouts are yours. The general tools we build with stay ours to reuse, and fonts or photos keep their own licences.
What happens after launch?
Anything that stops the site working as agreed is fixed free for 30 days. After that, a care plan keeps it updated, backed up and working, or we can help by the hour.
Can you guarantee first place on Google?
No, and nobody honestly can. We build every site so that search engines can read it properly, and our SEO service works on your rankings over time.
Why not use a cheap template?
A template can cost less on day one, but it's made for everyone, so it fits no one exactly, and changing it later can cost more than building properly. A site built for your business is made to keep working for years.
